About Us
MY Consultants was founded by Robin Henderson in 2002 with the vision to provide creative, challenging and stimulating learning environments for groups and individuals in order to deliver business improvements.
MY Consultants has worked with a wide range of clients across the private, public and higher education sectors. Robin delivers much of the work of MY Consultants but where appropriate uses a wide range of facilitators and consultants to deliver larger events or where specific expertise is required.

Robin is a talented trainer and consultant who is passionate about developing individuals and organisations in a fun and stimulating manner. Workshops that Robin has developed are rated highly by the participants, who find the combination of a relaxed learning environment, stimulating exercises, real life examples, and the necessary theory an ideal mix for effective learning. He has delivered training courses for a wide range of clients within the public and private sector.
Robin obtained a first class Materials Engineering degree from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1994 before moving to Aberdeen University where he completed a PhD in materials engineering in 1997.
On completion of his PhD he stayed in university research and worked on industrially-focused projects that were closely linked with the manufacturing industry for 2 years.
In 1999 Robin was appointed as an engineering lecturer at Aberdeen University where he discovered a passion for teaching and during 4 years as a lecturer he developed new courses in Engineering design, Project and Engineering Management. In particular he developed a range of courses for an MSc course in project management on which he still teaches. During his time as a lecturer he also ran a consultancy operation within the university, delivering consultancy projects to over 20 SME’s within Scotland.
In 2003 Robin left the engineering department to take up a part time post in staff development at the University of Aberdeen where his worked was focused on enhancing the quality of teaching within the organisation. In 2004 Robin left the university and started working full time as a consultant.
He completed an MBA at the Open University in 2005, is a NLP Master Practitioner and a Chartered Engineer. Robin is also a qualified FIRO Element B practitioner.
Associates
MY Consultants utilises a number of associates to deliver projects and selects associates who can provide true value to the client. The expertise of associates who are currently working with MY Consultants include project management, leadership, coaching, sustainability, human resource and change management. The associates come from a wide range of backgrounds including the Education, Commercial and Not For Profit sectors.
