MY Consultants supports individuals and groups in their performance and development through one-to-one and group coaching.

  • MY Consultants offers one-to-one coaching to support individuals in making positive changes within their work and career. This is especially useful when the issue (often at an individual identity level) would be difficult to address through workshops and training. MY Consultants has supported individuals in dealing with difficult working relationships, identifying and making career transitions (at many stages in academic progression), developing their leadership approaches and behaviour, leading lareg scale research activities, overcoming motivation issues and dealing with workplace stress.
  • MY Consultants is happy to work directly with individuals or organisations who wish to implement a coaching programme for a number of their staff (we have run successful programmes at a number of HEIs both supporting leadership development programmes and as standalone coaching programmes).

The MY Consultants Team has specific expertise in working with university staff and has delivered over 4000 hours of coaching to over 600 HEI staff.

  • Group coaching is especially useful when there are issues within a team that they are struggling to resolve by themselves. These issues may be as varied as developing a project management structure, managing a change process more effectively, or enhancing communications within a geographically dispersed team. Group coaching may be combined with one-to-one coaching to enhance the impact of the group coaching. Within this work we use a range of techniques including Systemic Team Coaching.

The approach that MY Consultants uses will vary depending on the issues that are being explored; however, the underlying approach to all the coaching MY Consultants undertakes is the same: we ask participants challenging and insightful questions to allow them to explore the situation from many different perspectives. In addition and where appropriate, we use psychometric tools and 360-degree feedback to help the individual to gain further insights. Techniques from NLP facilitate the development of new, unexplored solutions and support participants in making deep and lasting change.
